The DIY Pack is a tool and network that helps independent bands and musicians to develop their music career in their own terms. It was founded in 2022 by Jeka Narea after seeing a gap in the market truly dedicated to support new artists withtin the indie rock, punk, emo and metal niche.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Jeka Narea known as @Jekadoom on socials is a music business professional and creative that helps bands and musicians build their brands and career so they can focus on their music. With a proven track record as an A&R scout, project manager in events, producer, artist booker, DIY label distributor, marketer, and playlist curator Jeka has gathered all her knowledge and international contact network from years in an easy-going compendium that is up to date about the latest music business trends.
Jeka’s key work experience and qualifications include a degree in Event Management in Sweden and a BA (Hons) degree in Music Business in the UK where she has studied with the best in their fields such as Sid Wilson from Slipknot, Natalie-Eve Williams from BBC radio and diverse journalists from Kerrang Magazine and Metal Hammer to name a few.
Her work experience ranges from different roles such as Marketing manager for Wacken Metal Battle Sweden of legendary metal festival Wacken Open Air, to BO staff of acclaimed music venue Band on the Wall where bands like Joy Division and Pixies have performed live in the past.
The music industry is wide and wild, the DIY Pack is here to guide you and facilitate your journey.
